Reconditioned Nilfisk and Tellus GSD 700Watt Motor Head For Older GS Machines Such As GS83
Reconditioned Nilfisk GSD 700Watt Motor-Head For Older GS Machines Such As GS83
This fully reconditioned GSD 700 Watt motor, has been rebuilt by Andy complete with new bearings and carbon brushes. The correct Nilfisk jig was used to replace the bearings. We used to refurbish these quite frequently having an exchange motor program, however the demand dropped, and it wasn't a viable proposition any longer.
They were for a long time, used in the Tellus and Nilfisk GS90 the GS80 the GS81 the GS8, and the Nilfisk GS83 and GM83 vacuum cleaners.
The GSD motors also referred to as GST in UK and GSJ in Japan had a Thermovalve to protect them from overheating should the airflow become reduced.
You can take the opportunity in all models, except the Nilfisk GS83 to upgrade, to the more powerful, Nilfisk and Tellus GMP motor heads 12112153
However, where the application is for use with fine dust, it's suggested the 800 Watt Nilfisk and Tellus GSP motor head 12108153 is used.
The reason for suggesting the use of a less powerful motor, would be because it will reduce the chance of the filters and dustbag to clog up, preventing the flow of air through the filter, leading to possibly overheating the motor. The dust migrating through the filter into the motor would be reduced too.
