The very excellent Electron EVS3505 and the EVS2606 and the Electron EVS 2808 central ducted vacuum cleaner system pleated Poly main dust filter, this filter replaces the older foam style and is far, far better! See the eighth photo.
The plastic nipple fits on the white fork in the current EVS vacuums. The foam gasket side of the filter, goes up against the motor housing.
On the earlier models with the screw thread, the wing nut, will hold this filter in place.
Should the filter become displaced, or loose it's filtering capacity, dust will clog the gauze before the motor, and unless the motor is removed by a competent person, and the gauze cleaned, performance will be reduced with no apparent reason.
The pleats can be brushed off, or preferably vacuumed off with another machine and then replaced in the unit.
Some of our clients have two which they interchange, so that after vacuuming the pleats, they can be rinsed and then dried in the sun.
