Description

White VacuValve flap valve for the automatic start of built-in household ducted vacuum when the hose is inserted. Choose either the usual WHITE however there is Almond and Black available, so select your variant.

They can be mounted Horizontal or Vertically, they are generally distributed around the home and connected to the specific PVC ducted vacuum cleaner pipework or ducting. It's not pressure pipe grade, so the fittings are different

When the flap-valves are opened and a banded hose cuff is inserted on a long 32mm flexible hose, usually 9 or 12 meters long, the electrodes with the 12V or 24V pilot circuit on them, are bridged and the vacuum system starts.

To REALLY finish these outlets off, we suggest using the corresponding surrounds HERE

Note: These outlets are the VacuValve brand by Vaculine from Canada. We have security of supply with this brand.

They are 132mm long and 89mm wide. Hole centres are 98mm

There are other more stylish outlets such as Deco, however supply is erratic, and there are similar styles, but different sizing. The BVC outlets are also different, with plastic and metal versions. We WILL NOT source them.

Poor quality Flapevalve

Ordered this Flapvalue online as it showed the same as my old one with the circular flap.

What I received was one with a flimsy square flap door and when I installed it, the base flexed causing the Flap door to seat poorly.

I have since ordered the one shown below which has many 5 star reviews.

In none of our photos do we show the old key-hole type flap valve.

What we show on our webpage, are the most popular Vacuvalve outlets that we see in our daily work servicing and maintaining ducted vacuum system around Perth. They are the outlet you got.

The base probably flexed because the older style fixing plates, are different to the current plates, so the screws must be inserted off-centre.

If you over-tighten them, they will bow. Back off the tightness that's the way to do it.

I've been installing these Vacuvalve outlets for around 15 years and I haven't had a single complaint.

The outlet you show, I have NEVER seen before.

Nevertheless, your review is appreciated by us, whatever your opinion. Poor reviews help potential customers to decide what to buy as well as good ones. It helps them decide from reasoned opinions.

Perfect fit!

22 years after having the system fitted the Autostart flapvalve broke inside. Within 10 days received a replacement, fitted it and works now beautifully! Cheers

Let's hope it's simply a tradie who parted a joint with his knee in the roof-space!

Find the man-hole (Or person-hole!) and carefully climb the step-ladder and put your head in the roof-space. Once there, ask the other Sister to switch on the vacuum, and see if you can hear air in the roof-space and which direction it's coming from, then hopefully, you can find a light person to investigate further for you!
