The white material filter fits on a plastic frame on the inside of the lid above the dustbag. This pattern item DOES NOT have the plastic frame with it. Unlike the genuine Nilfisk filter SKU 140-8423-500 which does.

The frame helps the filter keep it's shape and large surface area, to present the most effective barrier against dust, protecting the downstream foam main filter and the motor and the HEPA filter
