Henry Vacuum

Have had many Henry's over the years and by far the best long-term vac out there. Just wish that the heads lasted a little longer and there was some sort of stopper on the hose end that goes into the cleaner to prevent it from disconnecting. Cleans well and vac bag a good size. The manual wind on the cord is one thing less to break (as on an auto wind) and a nice, sturdy unit built for heavy duty work.

The Vacuum Doctor

G'day Gregg,

Thanks for your 4 Star Review it's most appreciated by us! Unfortunately, I don't think you've been as fair to a product that you've had before, and bought again.

The floor-tools or nozzles provided with purchase of new Henrys are TRIPLE EXCELLENT in my opinion when I've been servicing them for 20 years, and selling them for 15 years.

The Wessel floor tools they are supplied with were made in Germany and the quality has not changed in recent years. Any combination floor tool will wear out if the build up of fluff is not removed from inside, that prevents the carpet sole plate from retracting away fully from the bristles when vacuuming hard floors, or if the nozzle is not put in the hard floor position at all when vacuuming the same hard floors.

Also, with WA being a huge sand-pit, the sand can also grind out the neck of the floor-tool, despite the plastic being a low-wearing, self lubricating nylon type.

This also may explain your issue with the tank-end hose cuff. In my experience they are NOT prone to disconnecting. The generally break when they are allowed to repeatedly slap the floor, say falling from cleaners trolleys. These parts are well made, and very affordable.

I really feel Henry needs his honour defending in light of your over-critical review. However, that's your opinion. And you still returned to him!

Nevertheless, keep on reviewing your online purchases, Andy :)
