It goes inside the cylindrical bagless dust canister.

The pleated filter is protected with a gauze that is removable. Both should be vacuumed clean from time to time with another machine.

It's not for the later model the Nilfisk Combat ULTRA that is usually BLUE

According to EN 60335-2-69 The Terms "TYPE H" FILTRATION and HEPA FILTRATION are NOT INTERCHANGEABLE

The HEPA classification only considers the "efficiency of filtration" eg H10 H11 H12 H13 H14 U15 U17 NOT the SUITABILITY FOR USE with HAZARDOUS or COMBUSTIBLE dusts.
